So I saw the new Woody Allen film, Midnight in Paris, tonight with three of my great friends who I haven’t seen in a while, or ever hung out with combined. It was really fun. First we went to go try and roller blade at Hot Skates while dressed as if it were the 80’s, only to find out there is no skating on Tuesday nights, or weeknights in general. So we disappointedly get into the car to figure out what to do and we decide to go to Malverne theatre and watch Midnight in Paris. Sounds good to me.
So we eat at a nice diner, get four chocolate milkshakes (yummy) and then go to see the movie. First off, its a crowd full of retired old people, which was interesting to start off walking right into. I had never seen a Woody Allen film so I didn’t know what to expect, but from the opening credit sequence I was immediately pulled in.
I can honestly say that the movie was one of the most fantastic films that I have seen, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good movie to go see this summer. The concept, characterization, and overall good qualities of this movie were both attention-grabbing and memorable. If you like Woody Allen, Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, or simply like watching a great movie about Paris and humanity in general, buy a ticket to go see this movie.
P.S. - Long time no blog for me, I’m going to try and come back so sorry for the lack of posts over the past few months, I’ve been out of sync with Tumblr for far too long.
