Anonymous asked: why didn't you go to alaska?
The original plan was to do Habitat for Humanity with Lindsay, together. It was going to be an amazing experience that we were going to get to enjoy together, but a week before the trip was going to start she was diagnosed with mono. So she was no longer going on the trip, although I for a few days was still planning on going. A few nights ago, though, I realized that instead of still going and probably having a totally different experience without my good friend, I would stay home and enjoy the benefits of what summer has to offer here. And also, later this summer I will be taking a cruise in Alaska, so its not as if I won’t get to go to Alaska at all. Now, I’ll be significantly less tired for it too, since I won’t be building houses for two weeks. All in all I’m happy with the ultimate outcome that I get three more weeks home than I would, since its my last summer before I go away to college, but the stagnancy and lack of direction or inspiration that are resulting from the change are bothering me a bit.
