Locker Philosophy

Wow. How quickly the summer has gone, and the last year, and the last four years. In what feels like the blink of an eye, I’m suddenly getting on a plane to go move away from my childhood home and into College. This abstract, unfathomable idea that I have only heard stories of and wondered about. Now, I’m going there. For the next four years of my life, I’ll be dedicated to college. What an amazing moment of my life, to be able to look back on as the first step into the world. A time filled with anticipation and excitement, with some anxiety and worry stemming mostly from the fear of the unknown. 

But most importantly, I’m just happy to be moving forward with my life. I am in such a good place and am hoping to have a lot of fun and great times in Michigan this coming semester/year. 

And with this phase transition, I am also making the decision to stop going on Tumblr altogether for a while. While I love it, and the way it makes me think and be able to express how I feel/think easily and see all the amazing things that people post, its just an unreasonable time investment. I’ve watched countless hours pour down the drain with endless scrolling. And I wouldn’t even retain anything I saw, it was simply “ooooh that’s cool” and “wow thats interesting” for hours at a time, and if asked what I had seen I would hardly be able to remember. 

So, as much as it pains me, this is my last post for quite a long time. Wish me luck in college!
